Here are some of the videos that I took at Campus. It was tonnes of fun. All of the AMAZING bands at night, such as Dan Deacon, I didn't take my camera in case I lost it.

Campus a Low Hum 2010 - the pics

Right, so last weekend was CAMP. So stoked that Blink decided to extend the trilogy and do it another time.Campus a Low Hum this year was held at Flock House about 10 mins outside of Bulls. It's an old agricultural college that has been empty for many a year. It was the most amazing setting. Lots of buildings to explore and plenty of shelter which was just as well since it was a very wet camp.

So wet in fact, that I had to boost through to Wanganui early on Saturday morning and buy some gumboots. This is Demin Owl. They are from Melbourne and played in the pool.
I realise that this is not the clearest photo, but it is of Bandicoot. Hot outfit.
Oh, the LOVELY, beautiful and talented Diana Rozz. Those girls are just so damn hot. They got the crowd all hot under the collar too, the speakers to the left of the pic took a massive tumble after the crowd got a little rowdy.
T-T-T Tiger Tones!
Oh my, The Dodos. All the way from San Francisco. AWESOME.
Daedelus.
So So Modern.
Batrider. I think?
DHDFDs
Scott from DHDFDs right before he started smashing his head against the drum he's standing on. Check out the video post for the footage of that.
The Crackhouse 5 did a renegade set AND celebrated Zach from Bang Bang Eche's 21st birthday. Is there anything those boys can't do?
The balloons! Ruby Suns turned it on.
Shocking photography on my behalf, but that would be Luke Buda & Liam Finn supporting Connan Mockasin.
Ah ha! The elusive balloon during Golden Axe. Dude in front of me was willing that balloon to come over to him for about 15 mins. He finally got it. Finally. Then kindly passed it to me to set it FREE!
Bright light blow out. That would be Golden Axe in there. Somewhere.
Gaywyre ruled the freaking crowd. SO much fun it's crazy.

Die! Die! Die!

End of the day, I didn't take my camera to some of the bigger gigs such as Dan Deacon (OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS - Deacon was amazing) Show is the Rainbow, Signer vs. Spring Break. Too concerned that I would lose it. Dancing was required and a bag just got in the way.

Give me a couple of weeks to recover, then, can we do it all again? Please?

Big Day Out Weekend

So I went to BDO 2010, and hung out in Auckland for the weekend. It was a freaking rocking weekend thanks to all the lovely kids I met and the delightful Miss. Evelyn who put me up for the weekend. Bit of a photo journal to follow.

The most amazing trip up. BEAUTIFUL day. Check out the mountain.
TIRAU! Meg especially loved all of the corrugated iron.
The beginning. A little bubbles + sushi in the sun to kick off BDO day.
I have to admit, I do think that this might be the last time I hang out with 45,000 other people. Just a few too many!
There were a number of very bad tattoos. This is just one example.
Also some very bad rave pants. I can't believe that someone actually makes these!
The Horrors, and seeing Faris up close was the reason for me to go to the BDO. Horrors were everything I expected. Faris was disinterested and the rest of them were instrument geeks. Perfect.
Quick break for Girl Talk - Good dancing times
And then the other reason I went, The Decemberists. SO much fun. They were awesome and so well received by the audience.
Mars Volta were good, but I was in the stands, so no pics. Finished the night dancing our arses off to Groove Armarda. Too too good. Perfect way to end the night.
Had the joy of 2 awesome kittens to play with at Ev's house. So cute!

Spent Saturday getting a little sunburnt at Cheltenam Beach. Just delightful.
Look at lake Taupo on the way home. So pretty!
And goodness, what a welcome Wellington, this is what I came home to:
Gross. Awesome weekend though. Super fun.

Next: Let there be Camp!

Pic of the day

I spent my break at my mother & her partner's farm, about 30 clicks north of Wanganui. No cell coverage, no Internet and no television. It was awesome.

At any rate, they have a resident native pigeon, I have named him Harold. He is BEAUTIFUL. He let me get so so close to him.Love nature.

Little Army Men

Oh my goodness.

A few years ago, I went to a party with some friends. In an attempt to keep myself out of trouble (yes, this is sometimes required) I bought 2 packs of army men, one silver and one bronze. My friend Paul and I then spent a good deal of this party running around the house blue-tacing little army men around the house. The plan was to deploy all our troops without being spotted, plus finding each others men and creating fight scenes.

I went back to this house today and would you believe it, the little guys are still there:
All over the house.

While the guys that live there didn't give it away, the friend I went over with tells me they had no idea who had placed the little guys all over the house.

They seemed to get a kick out of it. I don't know, I think if someone did it to my place I would find it pretty amusing.

enough

I would rather be by myself and comfortable with my own company, than settle in a relationship because I am afraid to be alone.

Please stop asking me if I have 'found myself a good man'. For the record, I am more than capable of looking after myself, I don't require someone 'looking after me'.
