Done

I am done with you
I am done with being convenient
I am done with not mattering to you as much as I deserve to

I don't regret anything, but there needs to be more
You have no power over me. Not anymore.

Swoon

OK, so I went to see the Dead Weather play Wednesday before last. I'm a bit of a Jack White fan, lets be fair. There is something about the way that man expresses himself through music that I just can't resist. Hot. Pity I'm not a redhead.

At any mrate, Alison Mossheart did her thing as the front woman and she was just as amazing as when I saw her with the Kills last year.
So, I there were a couple of highlights for me. The new material sounded awesome and was a highlight, and Jack White singing was amazing, but the best (and I understand that in reality I went to the gig to see them play their music but...) song was Jack covering Van Morrison's 'You Just Can't Win By Them' and here is a little clip just for yous.

Confessions of a Coffee fiend - Day 4-6

OK, so my week of coffee hit a snag when I started running out of time to upload everything.

I'm not going to be able to remember the days exactly, but I can tell you where the coffee is from and how good it was.

Duke Carvell's - delicious. Always.

Superfino (Mojo) This was the second extraction. It wasn't good. It was gross and I didn't drink the coffee. It was like a ridiculously milky latte. Not what I want in a flat white.
After my Superfino experience I made the effort of walking up Cuba for my Fidel's morning flat white.
Fidel's - Flat White. So very delicious.
Scopa - Flat White. You know it's Scopa because of the chili oil in the background. Mmm... Chili oil.
Duke Carvell's - Espresso
I think this was on Saturday when I forgot that I was taking photos of my coffee.
Logan Brown - Espresso. The choc/mint slice was a nice touch.
Had to take a pic of this one. It was my last espresso from Duke Carvell's before I moved to Auckland. It was a special espresso from Max and it was pretty damn special.

Murder

I like this a lot.

Was very confused as I walked down Lambton Quay tonight and stumbled upon this:

There were some other great windows, but this didn't seem like it fit. Apparently it does as per this link from @dubh

Very cool. Great idea. Love you Wellington, gonna miss you heaps.

Cry

There are things that make you sad. Then there are things that make you cry.

People who just don't care make me cry.

Those who I thought were good people and gave a damn, but apparently do not - they make me cry.

I do not cry because of me, but because of you.

Because I cannot understand why you do what you do.

And so I say goodbye. To someone, who is obviously not paying any attention. At all.

Matterhorn (Supreme) - Espresso. 2pmCrazyhorse (?) - Espresso. 9.30pm
I'm not going to talk about the rest of the food. Needless to say Matterhorn + Crazyhorse in 1 day = bliss & the most spoilt girl ever.

Confessions of a Coffee fiend - Day 1

Right. This is my diary. My diary of coffee.

I am about to leave my mecca of coffee that is Wellington to move to Auckland and I have to admit, somewhere I have never had an amazing cup of coffee. Ever. Ever.

So this is my ode of Wellington coffee. An entire week devoted to the coffee and some cudos to the places which make me my coffee every day.

Day One - Monday 1st March 2010

Fidels - Trim Flat White, takeaway. 7.45am:

Duke Carvell's Swan Lane Emporium - Espresso. 3.30ishpm

Gonna Miss You Wellington

So it is now quite official and I can tell people.

I am leaving my darling Wellington for the heat and humidity of Auckland. New job with Barnes, Catmur & Friends. Lots of new places to explore and people to meet.

Only problem is leaving Wellington. Going to miss you. Look at how pretty you are:
Swoon.
